GERMANIA
The yachts of the house of Krupp.
The name GERMANIA stands in the history of sailing for the yachts
of the Krupp dynasty.
The industrial family from Essen took on the racing schooners of
the German Kaiser with their various GERMANIA yachts. They
hold Olympic honors and carried their racers to grasp even the
Atlantic Regatta.
Krupps GERMANIAs were not only milestones in the history of yacht
building, they were and are boats on which political history
was written.
This book describes the life and passion for
sailing of the Krupps and shows in photos, some of which have
never been shown before, the yachts and life on board - up to
the massive GERMANIA VI, which is to this day in use as the
education ship of the Krupp Foundation.
