Hammock

Made of heavy, untreated, unbleached canvas, hand-finished in a small north German tackle workshop.
These robust hammocks served as beds on tall ships and school ships.
It is hemmed all around with a continuous rope. Brass eyes are driven in at the head and foot ends.
The hammock is spread by wooden laths, and 12 mm diameter fastening ropes are spliced in every 3 m.
