Bronze cheek block made from elmwood

Classic elmwood block with components of high-quality and particularly seawater-resistant aluminum bronze.Screw-on turning block for rope on deck or on the spars.
With slanted mounting plate.

Built from Dutch patterns in a small workshop.
Similar to the design of American yacht blocks. However, the axles are not bolted together, rather they are covered with small bronze plates. The sheaves run on Bronze bearings with a core of DELRIN to save weight. The visible surface of the sheave is also bronze.
The housing is copper-rivited and varnished to a high gloss.
