Bronze yacht block made from elmwood

Classic elmwood block with bearings of high-tensile and exceptionally seawater-resistant aluminum bronze. With a bronze swivel and clevis pin shackle.

Built from a Dutch design in a small block workshop.
Similar in design to American blocks, however, the axes are not bolted, rather they are covered with bronze plates. The sheaves run on bronze bearings with a DELRIN core for weight savings. The visible surfaces of the sheaves are bronze.
The housing is copper-stained and varnished to a high gloss with EPIFANES varnish.
