HYE tufnol fiddle block
Two-sheaved fiddle block with fixed bracket.
Built of
"tufnol" saltwater-proof hardened fabric, with fittings made of
stainless-steel.
These blocks are maintenance-free and known
for their long lives. The sheaves are finished with brass
bearings, greatly reducing wear and friction.
The high
breaking loads have been tested by Germanischen Lloyd (GL). The
workload (SWL) carries 50% of the given breaking load
(BRL).
These blocks are particularly good for classic
yachts of the 50s and 60s and are ideally suited for universal
working blocks.
Beware: The given rope diameter (D1) is
only good for flexible braided ropes. With stiffer or laid
ropes, larger blocks or the blocks from the heavy-duty series
(Art.-Nr. 1122-....) are a better option. Because the lower
sheave has a very small diameter, violin blocks are intended only
for very thin ropes.
The given rope diameters (D1) are
maximum diameters, with thinner ropes working better.
