Beechwood mast hoop

The luff of a (gaff) sail is lashed to the mast.
Traditional rings made from cold-bent beech-wood with stainless-steel lock bolts.
Suggestion for size determination:
Inner diameter of the mast ring should be about 20% greater than the maximum mast diameter.
