Bronze 'D'-Hank

Simple high-tensile piston hanks, made entirely from cast bronze, based on the famed design of the American company Merriman.
Rolled bronze finish.
The overlapping ends close solidly as in a devil's claw. These hanks function without springs and troublesome mechanics.
Intened to be sewn onto the luff of the sail, with a clean groove for the foot.

This fitting is appropriate primarily for storm sails that are not used daily.
