GRAD 70 High-tensile hot-dip galvanised anchor chain

The GRADE 70 anchor chain is a hardened and tempered grade 7 chain made of high-strength special steel: short-link, tested, calibrated, gauge-containing chain in accordance with DIN 766A, cleanly hot-dip galvanised. An ideal chain for long-distance sailors to optimise anchor equipment in terms of chain length and chain weight.
This chain was formerly marketed by the Italian manufacturer Maggi under the brand name AQUA7. The Italian company Mf has taken over the production of the high-strength chain (with unchanged good properties) and introduced the brand name GRADE 70 for it.
This chain achieves extremely high breaking loads (70 kN at 8 mm and 110 kN at 10 mm). Each chain is supplied with a certificate in accordance with DIN EN 10204 2.2. From 2025, the chains will also be stamped with the designation MF7.
The use of a high-strength grade 7 chain connecting link is recommended as a large end link.
