The existing cast iron side heat storage plates in the SALAMANDER SE can be replaced with vermiculite plates.
The SALAMANDER SE is supplied with cast iron heat storage plates as standard. Compared to the cast-iron plates, the firebox heats up much faster with the vermiculite plates due to their insulating properties, which increases the efficiency of the stove.
