A marine proven underwater primer with good rust protection. This aluminum pigmented chlorinated rubber primer is of high waterproofing and elasticity. It is suitable for steel, wood and GRP and can be overcoated with most commercial antifoulings. VIKOTE 18 is also suitable as a sealer between an old and a new antifouling coat.

After thorough cleaning and sanding, old tar and bitumen coatings can also be overcoated, but "bleed-through" should be expected.

If VIKOTE 18 is used as an adhesion primer between the epoxy primer SIGMA PRIME 200 and an antifouling, the application must be done as long as the epoxy primer surface is not yet dry but slightly tacky.

Yield: approx. 8 m²/l.
Color: light silver-gray.
Thinner: 21-06.
