The FLINsail provides you with your own electricity when you are at anchor or in port with your sailing yacht.
The FLINsail is a modular solar system that is hoisted and guided in the mast groove like a sail. With guide lines made of Dyneema, the solar modules can be synchronously aligned around the horizontal axis at an optimal angle to the sun, achieving very high efficiency, even in the morning and evening hours.
With the help of the patented FLIN mast sliders, the FLINsail can be firmly clicked into the mast groove above the mainsail or placed on a T-rail, the mainsail can remain in the mast groove. We supply the appropriate mast sliders for your mast system. Please inform us about the width of your mast groove or your T-rail under remarks when you order (see technical drawing at the pictures).
The number of solar modules of the FLINsail is adapted to the energy consumption of your sailing yacht. Due to the modular design, versions with two to six solar panels are possible. The upper and lower sorlar modules are each stiffened, so that the FLINsail can also be used in strong winds. The 2M-FLINsail light comes without the stiffening of the module. It is therefore cheaper and also very light. For strong winds we recommend the stiffened Moul 2M-FLINsail tough.
During sailing, the FLINsail is stored in the supplied transport bag. When the FLINsail is set, the bag can be attached to the boom via rubber loops so that the solar modules can be hoistet similar to a mainsail out of of lazy bags.
