Cassens & Plath was founded in 1902 by Tanne Janssen Cassens - an experienced captain who knew the importance of reliable instruments through his numerous voyages.
First in Bremen and since 1972 in Bremerhaven, CASSENS & PLATH manufactures nautical precision instruments, including magnetic compasses and sextants. They are all carefully assembled, adjusted and tested by hand in Germany and are subject to a quality standard that makes these products unique.
