Single-gear bronze halyard winch Type 1, for wire.
These winches use the famed MERRIMAN braking system, which holds the wire in any position and allows simple easing.
The winches have also proven themselves as very good leeboard winches on flat-bottomed boats. For this use, they are available in models that can be mounted on either side and run clockwise or counterclockwise.
Made from solid bronze, polished or chromed finish. Band brake, pawls, bolts, etc. made of stainless steel.
Comes without handle! Type 1 single-gear winch for flat winch handle.
Flat handle Article-No. 1884-101 /-601 is available separately.
Wire intake on the drum:
Wire 3 mm: 10.5 m;
Wire 4 mm: 7 m.
Available in polished or chromed finish, right or left-turning.
