COLD WATERS / Niklas Marc Heinecke, Laslo Seyda

An illustrated book worth seeing about a somewhat different trip to the Caribbean.

Photographer Niklas and his skipper Joscha set off from Germany on an adventurous 10,000 nautical mile journey: via Norway, the Shetland Islands and the Faroe Islands, past Iceland and Greenland, along the east coast of Canada and the USA.

On their route across the North Atlantic, they experience freezing cold, storms with spray that hits their faces and waves that inspire awe.

But when they drop anchor somewhere in the middle of nowhere, they are rewarded for their hardships: with wild archipelagos, imposing glaciers and nature that is there just for them.

A book that makes you want to explore the rugged North Atlantic.

Sustainability was emphasised in the printing and packaging. The book was printed on recycled paper using environmentally friendly inks at the Siepmann print shop, the first Hamburg print shop to be awarded the Blue Angel in 2020. The printing presses are powered by green electricity.
