ALLE AN BORD? / Paul und Hansen Hoepner, Anna König

One boat, 14 months, almost 10,000 kilometres, and nothing goes as planned.

The twin brothers Hansen and Paul Hoepner, born in 1982, are once again on a great adventure, but once again with special challenges. They are venturing into largely unknown territory on the water and are also travelling through Europe in a CO2-neutral way. In view of the impending climate catastrophe, they are using sustainable self-made energy sources on the roof of the ship.

However, thousands of emission-free kilometres in their self-converted motor sailer across the Danube, along the Black Sea coast, through the Mediterranean and along Western European rivers back to Germany are not adventure enough. Unlike before, the twin brothers are undertaking the journey in a completely new constellation.

Paul's partner, social pedagogue Anna König, is part of the adventure crew. She researches sustainable and educational initiatives that the team visits throughout Europe on their route. Paul and Anna's daughter Momo and Ronny, Hansen's dog mix rescued from Ukraine, are also part of the team.
