As it was common on yachts in earlier times:
Pennant stick of varnished pine with stainless steel wind indicator epoxied on top.
The pennant pole is raised upright on a separate halyard. That way the wind indicator reaches well above the top of the mast.
When cruising the club pennant will naturally be attached to the pole, when racing it will be replaced by the square race pennant.

Total length, including wind indicator: 190 cm.
