The deck caulking sealant used by the professionals in yacht and ship building. Especially high UV and saltwater resistant one component-product on a polyurethane base, specially developed for laying teak decks.
Through optimal flow properties and long smoothing capability easily processed. SIKAFLEX-290 DC PRO is characterised by fast curing speed and is easily sanded after the curing process.
Additional product features:
- high strength (40° shore A hardness, 3 N/mm.sq. tensile strength),
- permanently elastic,
- ultimate elongation approx. 600%,
- free of silicon,
- very good weather-resistance,
- not corrosive,
- can be painted with two component paints..
- Colour: black.
Available as a cartridge (for cartridge guns - 300 ml) or a pack (for guns - 600 ml). Example for the yield: 300ml for a 5x5mm joint allow for 12 continuous metres.

SIKAFLEX-290 DC PRO is wheelmark certified and fulfills the requirements of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO)

All SIKAFLEX products are high quality, one component glues and sealants on the basis of polyurethane. Through the absorption of moisture the plastic sealing compound becomes a high-quality elastomer. We exclusively carry the products of the SIKAFLEX BlueMarineLine, which have been specially developed for marine use. They are suitable for a wide range of boat building materials.

In case of timber the use of an adequate Primer, e.g. Sika? Primer- 290 DC or Sika MultiPrimer Marine, is mandatory.

Warning: SIKAFLEX-290 DC PRO contains 4,4' Methylendiphenyldiisocyanat, which is why plastic gloves are supplied with the product. Please take carefull note of the hazard warning on the package. You can find the safety instructions under www.sika.de.
