Many items of Toplicht marine equipment are approved, accepted, certified and tested for commercial shipping and the onshore and offshore industry. They comply with international rules of the IMO, equipment standards according to SOLAS, the European Marine Equipment Directive MED, as well as national equipment requirements of classification societies such as Lloyd's Register (LR),

Germanischer Lloyd (GL), or German inspection authorities such as BG Verkehr and BSH. Many products for commercial ship operation carry a CE mark, a BSH approval or meet the requirements for Rhine shipping. For MED approval, a symbolized steering wheel is considered a mark of conformity. Nautical equipment labelled with wheelmark may be installed and used onboard without any national approval across the EU area. With Toplicht, shipping companies, shipping lines and companies of the maritime industry can find products that meet the technical requirements of shipping in almost all areas of technical equipment, such as professional occupational health and safety, fire protection, offshore protective equipment, technical ship equipment or navigation and safety equipment.
