These valves, specially developed by the manufacturer GUIDI to meet the requirements of the marine industry, are an alternative to conventional ball valves or gate valves. Their design minimises the risk of corrosion and sticking or adhesion of the moving components and ensures long-term smooth operation.
The housing is made of the seawater-resistant bronze alloy CC491K, chemically CuSn5Zn5Pb5-C. The passage is closed by a slightly flexible but rigid neoprene ball body that is moved into a guide.
It is operated in a similar way to a gate valve by turning the compact blue plastic rotary cap. This has an open and closed indicator window so that the status of the valve can be recognised at a glance.
The valve can be mounted in any position and offers full flow in both directions.
