The small MOB (man overboard beacon) fits into any jacket pocket and can easily be integrated into an automatic lifejacket. The clip holder supplied is used for this purpose.

As soon as the lifejacket inflates, the MOB is activated automatically. Alternatively, manual activation is possible.

Once activated, the following alarm functions ensure that the person in the water is found quickly:

1. An emergency alarm is sent via AIS. This means that the plotters of ships and shore stations in the vicinity (within a radius of approx. 5 nm) will show that a person is in the water. Since the unit's own MMSI is used for this purpose, this function is available immediately - without prior programming.
   
2. In addition, an alarm can be triggered via VHF (DSC) on the radio of the own vessel. To do this, the ship's own MMSI must be programmed into the MOB. This can easily be done via the OCEAN SIGNAL homepage. If the MMSI of your own ship is programmed, it will also be displayed on the plotters of the ships in the vicinity. This makes it much easier for potential helpers to contact one's own crew and thus to search.
3. The very bright LED flash.
