Halyard winch WILMEX Type 3 made from solid bronze, for wire.
These winches use the well-known MERRIMAN band brake system, which holds the wire in any position and allows simple easing.
Two speed by changing handle position:
Ratio:
1st speed turning 1:1, power ratio 6,8:1
2nd speed turning 3:1, power ratio 25:1.
These winches have also proven as very good leeboard winches on flat-bottomed boats. For this use, these winches are available turning clockwise or counterclockwise (to be mounted on both sides of the ship).
Made from solid bronze, polished or chromed finish. Band brake, pawls, bolts, etc. made of stainless steel.
Handle sold separately. Socket for standard handles with 11/16"-octagon.
Available with electric or hydraulic motor by request.

Wire intake on the drum:
Wire 5 mm: 33 m;
Wire 8 mm: 19 m
