With 5 watts of transmitting power, faster transmission rate of AIS protocols and SOTDMA technology, the new AIS Class B generation - easyTRX3 from the German manufacturer WEATHERDOCK improves your navigation and safety on board.

The German sailing magazine "Yacht" judges in its AIS transponder comparison in issue 17/2023: "The easyTRX3 from WEATHERDOCK, which is available in a wide range of equipment variants to meet all requirements and whose range of functions can even be expanded at a later date, is probably the most versatile system among the black box solutions according to the SO(TDMA) standard".

The robust, waterproof housing of the easyTRX3 offers one AIS transmitter and two AIS receivers. This ensures that both AIS frequencies are permanently transmitted and received in parallel.

SOTDMA technology means that the easyTRX3 organises the free time slots in the AIS transmission procedure itself and reserves and keeps free the same space for the next transmission interval with the transmission.

The unit can be conveniently configured already at home. The data connection to the PC via USB ensures the power supply at the same time. In this way, the internal memory can also be controlled and read out, in which all AIS sailing data can be stored - similar to a black box.

With the easyTRX3 Manager app, all easyTRX3 settings can be made easily and conveniently using a smartphone or tablet.

DAB+

In the optional product version with DVB-T2 and FM radio, a DAB+ module is also installed. With this DAB+ module you are able to connect the antenna cable of a DAB+ receiver with F-connector to the easyTRX3. The module itself is a kind of antenna that is able to slightly amplify the incoming DAB+ signals before they are transmitted to the connected DAB+ receiver via the F-connector. However, the module does not include an antenna splitter for DAB+. The DAB+ signals are not received with the FM mast antenna and forwarded to the easyTRX3.

The integrated GPS antenna is sufficiently powerful for most (GRP or wooden) yachts. However, depending on the installation location (especially on steel boats), an external GPS antenna (Article-No. 3920-029) may be required as a supplement.
