ICOM IC-M85E UKW PMR handheld radio

The IC-M85E is the hybrid model in the ICOM model range.

In addition to the existing marine radio channels, the unit can also use the company radio channels assigned to your company or organisation. These channels are programmed into the unit by your dealer.

PMR range 136-174 MHz
In addition to VHF marine channels, the IC-M85E can also communicate on PMR channels between 136 and 174 MHz*. For this purpose, it has 100 programmable PMR channels on which CTCSS frequencies and DTCS codes can also be used.
* Appropriate individual frequency division and programming provided.

Rugged construction meets IP67 and MIL standards
According to IP67 (International Protection Code), the IC-M85E is dustproof and can be submerged in water up to 1 m deep for up to 30 minutes. In addition, MIL-STD-810 (Military Technical Standard for Equipment) testing is performed.

700 mW NF power
Despite its compact housing, the IC-M85E's audio amplifier delivers 700 mW of LF power at the speaker to ensure clear and loud communication, especially in noisy environments.

Automatic emergency alarm tone
The handheld radio offers three emergency-related functions: for MOB (man overboard), man-down and lone worker. If activated, the IC-M85E will sound an alarm tone* when the relevant emergency occurs.
* The alarm tone always comes from the handheld radio's loudspeaker, even if an optional loudspeaker microphone is connected. (With these functions, there are no emergency calls to other radios).

Direct operation via the multifunction button
Switching between the two channel groups (Marine <> PMR) can be assigned to the multifunction button on the top of the housing.* A long press on this button switches the interlock function on and off.
* This configuration can be done together with the programming of the PMR channels.
